This week has been a busy week for us which started last week Thursday. We started by buying a new furnace and air conditioner which will be installed tomorrow. Nothing was technically wrong with our furnace, but after we had some repairs done to it last year around this time, the furnance repair man said that it needed to get replaced ASAP. We were fortunate to be able to postpone ASAP for a year, which works out pretty well for us. Not only were we able to save up some of the money, but we will also have 1 year to pay for it in addition to receiving some of the stimulus money next year for the home improvement.
Then today, I went and purchased new carpeting for the family room. That however, won't be installed until either June or July. I wanted to have time to paint the room before the new stuff was installed. Plus, I didn't want to have to deal with doing all that while I was still working. If I wait until at least June, then I will be done with work for the summer. I'm really looking forward to getting the new stuff installed. Now if I can just keep the kids from eating down there. I have a couple months to break them of the habit. :) I will be sure to post before and after pictures when all is complete.
Welcome to our family website. This hopefully will be a great place to keep you all updated on our family as well as keep a nice history of the boys. Hope you all enjoy.

The Next American Idol?!?
It's just too bad you can't understand a word he is singing. But then again, there are some songs you can't understand anyways, so he might just fit right in. :)
And now you can say you knew him when he was just beginning.

Where's Isaac
When we put the boys in a timeout, they are to sit in the red chair in the corner of the family room.
You can barely see the chair behind Brady and the sofa.
Today, Isaac was sent to a timeout, and after about 5 minutes or so we were wondering where he was. This is where we found him.
You guessed it, he was sleeping in his timeout chair. I guess he needed a little bit more than just a timeout.

First professional haircut
Today we took the boys to get their hair cut. I had received a coupon for a free haircut from SportsClips and yesterday, I received a half off coupon from them as well. SportsClips is new in our area, so I guess they wanted to get some business. Normally I cut the boys' hair myself, but since it was going to be really cheap, I decided to take them there for once.
Here are some of their before and during pictures.

Isaac was pretty excited and was so grown up getting it done. He sat still for the most part. Brady on the other hand had said he wanted his hair cut, but then when it came time for it, he didn't. After a little persuasion and distraction, he got over it and was able to get his hair cut as well.
I was so happy that they sat there so well. It was a great place to bring them since SportsClips is targeted towards men and boys. The boys were able to play with "boy" toys while we waited for our turn.
