Welcome to our family website. This hopefully will be a great place to keep you all updated on our family as well as keep a nice history of the boys. Hope you all enjoy.

Oven mitts
The boys got a hold of my oven mitts and decided to put them on their hands and run around with them. I tried getting a picture with both of the boys having them on their arms, but Brady wasn't cooperating and the camera was just too slow. :) Here is a picture anyways.

Saturday night
Aunt Lisa, Uncle Tom, Cousins Mitchell and Krista came over Saturday night to watch the boys while Mom and Dad went bowling. Lisa and Krista were already coming into town because Krista had a girl scout outing and then Sunday was going to be my grandma's memorial mass and then bowling afterwards, so we made the plans that they would come over to our place and watch the boys. While Shawn and I were still home, the boys were already having a great time with Krista and Mitchell.
In the picture below, the boys were having a great time laughing at Krista. She would jump on the bed and then fall off. The boys thought that was hilarious.
Lisa took this picture of Mitchell and Brady. I guess Brady was using Mitchell's feet as his chair. She said it looked much cuter in person than it shows on here.
Sunday morning we all got up to a huge snow storm. Shawn, myself and the boys decided that we weren't going to venture outside for grandma's mass. We were pretty bummed, but figured it was better to not venture out. Lisa, Tom and the kids did end up going to mass and bowling afterwards and got home shortly after 3 pm.

Bath time update
Tonight I gave the boys their bath and was expecting Brady to do his normal thing. I put Isaac in like I normally do and let him play for a little while in the bath, while Brady played outside the tub. Then I put Brady in the tub and he started doing his wanting to get out right away. I told him it was OK and that he should sit down. He started to kneel down, but then got up again when his knee touched the water. I told him it was OK again, and showed him his toys. Then he started to take interest in the toys, so again I told him to sit down. He finally did get down on his knees in the tub and really started to play with his toys. He ended up playing in there for at least 15-20 minutes and didn't even get too upset when I washed his hair. I'm hoping this is the turn of the corner I was praying for. We shall see how his next bath time goes.

Fashion show
We were playing upstairs when the boys decided to take out daddy's hats. They took them all out and modeled them for me. Here are some pictures. Aren't they so cute??

At one point, Isaac had 3 or 4 different hats on at the same time. I tried to snap the picture here, but he took one of them off before I got the chance.

Teamwork
Tonight I made a little structure out of the boys' blocks and they played with this thing for a long time. There was a hole in the middle area, so they would put things in it until it was full, then they would take them all out again, and repeat the process for probably about half hour to an hour.
Later on, we went upstairs to the kitchen area and they played with this laundry basket for a long time as well. They would fill it up with various things around the house, mostly bowls from the kitchen. Then they would both push and pull the basket to a new location where they would proceed to take a couple items out of it at a time and unload them to a new location. Once everything was out of the basket, they would fill it back up and start all over again. They are so funny.

Bath time
I thought I would post a couple pictures from tonight's bath night. Isaac just loves taking a bath and playing in the tub. He probably isn't going to like this picture when he gets older, but oh well. :) There's always a few pictures that kids don't like to see of themselves when they get older, here will be one.

As you can see, Brady isn't in the tub with Isaac. For the last couple of months, Brady has hated taking a bath. It is a battle just to keep him in the tub long enough to get his hair washed and the rest of his body cleaned before he wants to get out of there. But once he is out and can sit on my lap he is all smiles, as you can see from this picture below.

For a few months now, Brady hasn't liked his baths. Well, tonight was bath night again and he continues to not like taking a bath.

Happy Valentine's Day
Today was an especially good day for mommy. I wasn't really expecting much to happen today, even though it was Valentine's Day. Shawn hadn't really done much in the last couple of years for this day, so I wasn't expecting a whole lot to happen. Maybe I would receive an e-card or something if I was lucky. Well, this afternoon Shawn really surprised me. I had just come back from lunch at work and was sitting at my desk when someone came in my office and said "hi". I looked over and didn't really think much about who it was. Then all of a sudden I realized it was Shawn. He had brought a dozen roses and a box of chocolates with a card. He had taken the boys out to the store and bought me these things. Shawn doesn't take the boys out shopping very often unless we are out of something and it is an absolute necessary item that we can't be without. I was very impressed and pleasantly surprised that he had done this for me. I have such a wonderful husband and two awesome boys. What would I ever do without them?

Talking ??
Sorry, it has been a few days since I last posted. Monday I came down with the flu or whatever you want to call it. The rest of the week has been kind of busy and I have been recovering from whatever that was I had on Monday.
Today, while daddy was taking care of the boys, he thinks both the boys may have spoken a couple of words. Isaac was standing up on the love seat in the family room, and Brady was also standing on the love seat trying to climb up onto the ledge. Shawn was yelling at Brady to get down from the ledge. He yelled it a couple of times, and then Isaac said "I'm down", and Brady followed suit by saying "down."
Speaking of talking, the Birth-3 specialist called us this week and met with us and the boys on Tuesday. She evaluated them and determined based on what she saw and our answers to her questions, she felt the boys were in need of further evaluation. A speech therapist is supposed to be getting in touch with us in the next few days to set up a time when she can meet with us and evaluate the boys. We haven't yet heard from her so we don't know much else at this time.

Guess who got sick now?
Isaac. Late last night (11 pm) Isaac woke up and was sick. He only did it once and didn't really seem affected by it. Shawn had taken off his PJs and brought him down in the family room and he was all into playing and having a great time. We let him stay up for about an hour, just to make sure he was done. I put him back up to bed about Midnight and he never got sick again. He doesn't seem to have much of an appetite this morning, but he is acting much like himself. It must not have hit him as hard as Brady or he just takes it differently. Poor guy. :(

Pantry raid
Isaac has figured out that he can move the chair that sits in front of the pantry door now. Because of that, they now can get to the food that is in there. As you can see, they had fun playing with the cans and boxes. The probably played with these items for at least half hour. They would pile them all on the coffee table, then throw them on the floor, then pick them up again and start the process over. When they were done with that, they moved them all over to the stairs and played with them over there.

Brady was sick
Yesterday was an eventful night. I had my Mothers of Multiples meeting and my mom came over to watch the boys. I had been looking forward to that meeting for awhile because we were having the Twins Panel. This time, we had brought in a family of 9. The mother and father, their triplets, and TWO sets of twins. The children were 10, 7 1/2 and 3 years old. Needless to say, they really had their hands full. It was a very interesting meeting, to say the least.
Well, shortly after I got to the meeting, my phone was ringing. Home was calling me. The first thing I thought, was "oh oh, this can't be good." Sure enough, it was my mom calling telling me that Brady was sick. He had thrown up and was screaming in the background. I told her to give him some Tylenol and try to calm him down. If that didn't work, then call me and I would come back home. This was at about 7 pm when our meeting just started. She called back about 8:15, which I was about ready to leave the meeting anyways and get home to Brady. She said that he had thrown up some more and that I should come home. After I got home, he was sick 2 more times, but then I was able to get him to fall asleep in my arms for about an hour. I figured that if he had slept that long without being sick, it would probably be safe to bring him to his crib. He woke up a couple times in the night crying, but at least he wasn't sick.
This morning, Shawn said that Brady's stomach still wasn't good, but he hadn't been sick anymore. It took him most of the morning to recover and start acting like himself. I just hope Isaac doesn't come down with it now.
