I don't wanna be the little brother!!
I put "I'm the Big Brother" shirt we got from Myrtle Beach on Isaac, and then I put "I'm the Little Brother" shirt on Brady. From the moment that I put that shirt on him he wanted it off. He was lifting it up and crying and complaining until I took it off him. He was so funny. I don't think he wants to be called the little brother anymore.

Madison
I had a conference in Madison on Monday and Tuesday, so I decided since Shawn had taken those days off, that he could come with me and bring the boys with. We all had a great time. The conference was pretty good and the boys enjoyed being in Madtown. We went down on Sunday afternoon. Isaac stayed awake the entire drive down. He was really good though. He just looked out the window and talked to us. Brady slept majority of the way down and was good while he was awake. Sunday night we went to dinner with my coworkers. They really enjoyed the boys. Isaac decided that he wanted to have a little chicken with his ranch dressing. He just loved putting his hands in the dressing and licking his fingers and practically drinking the stuff instead of just dipping his chicken in it. They were both so cute though. As we were leaving, both the boys were waving bye-bye to everyone. Monday afternoon, Shawn had taken the boys to get some lunch. This was the first time that he had actually taken them out by himself to lunch. I wish I could have been a fly on the wall to see it. Sounds like they had a great time though and then the walked back to the hotel and all crashed for a few hours. It was such a beautiful day for a walk. I think it made it to almost 80 degrees. Crazy!!

Isaac building with his blocks
Here are some pictures of Isaac building with his mega blocks. The boys are getting more into building things with them than just a tower of blocks.

Visit
The boys and I decided to go out and visit Aunt Sue, Uncle Jae and cousin Lily. We went to pick up our girl scout cookies that Lisa had dropped off there and to get out of the house. It was really nice, the boys played on the slide and climbed up the stairs. They had a great time playing with Lily as well. It looked like they all had a great time.

Bowling
Last night Shawn and I prebowled, because we won't be able to do it next weekend. We have tickets to the symphony that Shawn won through work. It was quite the night for us. We both set personal records. I bowled 21 spares, the most I think I have ever bowled in a night (I ended with a 506, my second 500 series in a row). Shawn bowled 25 strikes for a 715 series. He could have done even better, except he had bad 10th frames. I picked up the 4,7,10 split, which was pretty awesome. I think I have actually picked that split up twice in my life.
When we came home though, we had an unpleasant surprise. Isaac was sick. He had finally come down with the same thing Brady had last weekend. We thought we were out of the woods with Isaac since it had been a week, I guess not. Now today he had a temperature, but seems to be acting fairly normal. Just not eating a whole lot. Unfortunately, we were unable to go to Mosinee for their cousin Collin's birthday party. We were all bummed.

Curious George
I was talking to Aunt Lisa on the phone. The boys were downstairs playing while I was cleaning up the kitchen after dinner. The TV was already on from Shawn watching TV before leaving for work. I can downstairs to see what the boys were doing, and I saw that Curious George was on. I didn't put it on and it was right at the beginning of the show. I immediately looked for the remote and saw that Brady had it in his hand. He had turned on the show all by himself and was sitting in his chair. He was so proud of himself.

Uh, oh
Isaac's favorite new saying is "uh, oh". It really started last night when we took a can of soda and spilled a little on the floor. He looked down at it, and said "uh, oh". It was so cute. Now, today that is his favorite thing to say. Too cute.

Brady was sick again, poor little man
Yesterday morning when the boys got up, I went to go get them out of their cribs. Brady was crying, but I didn't think much of it. I went in to get them up and noticed something in Brady's crib. At first I thought it was blood. I quickly discovered he had gotten sick. I brought them downstairs and changed Brady out of his PJs and fed them breakfast. Brady didn't eat a whole lot, which turned out to be a good thing. He was definitely sick. Shawn and I had talked about whether or not we should go bowling that night. We decided that we would wait and see how Brady was later in the day. He had gotten sick a few times during the morning, but then seemed pretty good after that. Shawn had given him a fairly big lunch which Brady did eat, so we thought maybe he was feeling better. He went down for his afternoon nap without any problems. Shortly after he got up though we was back to being sick, however this time even worse than the morning. Probably because he had a lot more in his tummy than he did that morning. Aunt Barb was scheduled to watch the boys last night, so if we were to cancel we would have had to let her know rather quickly. Unfortunately, she had already left home to come here when I called for her. I had already talked to her earlier in the day to let her know that Brady was sick. Shawn and I decided that we would go bowling. I checked in when we were done to see how the little man was doing. Barb had just put him down to bed and he was fine that night. He didn't get sick any more after we had left. We stayed long enough to eat our free pizza we won and came home shortly after that which turned out to be a good thing, because Brady woke up within an hour of us being home and just wanted to be held in order to sleep.
This morning I could tell that Brady was not feeling better, but probably worse. He woke up pretty early, so I gave him something to drink and brought him back to bed with us. He slept there for a couple hours until Isaac woke up. I then brought both boys downstairs. I gave Brady some toast to eat while Isaac had a bowl of cereal. We then all went downstairs to the family room to watch some TV. Brady was running a low grade temperature and just didn't want to do anything. He laid on the couch with me until about Noon. Then I brought him back up to his crib, where he slept until about 2:30 pm. Even after he had gotten up, he continued to lay on the couch and sleep on and off until about 5 pm. It wasn't until about 5:45 pm or so that he finally got off of the couch and played a little bit. At least he didn't get sick anymore today and was able to eat a little. Hopefully tomorrow he will be back to normal.

Blue's Clues
Isaac just loves watching Blue's Clues. It is so cute, when the show comes on he gets so excited to see Blue's paw print on the TV. Then there are parts of the show where they sing, and Isaac dances to the music. Every time a clue is shown on TV, Isaac goes to the television and points out where the clue is. He is just so smart. Brady doesn't get into it as much as Isaac does.

Bath time, will Brady like it?
After my last post about the possibility that Brady was turning the corner turned out to be wrong. The next couple of times I gave the boys a bath, Brady was almost the same that he had been. He still would cry as soon as I put him in the tub. He wasn't as bad as he had been because he wouldn't try and climb out of the tub.
Tonight , was bath night again. This time, I gave the boys their bath paint to play with in the tub. I let Isaac get in first and play as usual, while Brady played with the bottle outside of the tub. Then once it had been awhile, I decided it was time for Brady to get in. I took off his clothes and diaper and put him in the tub. He whimpered a little bit, but then got down on his knees and started to play. I don't know if it was because he had something new to play with in the tub, or if it was because the water was on the colder side. Other times when I would but Brady in, it almost seemed like he didn't like the temperature of the water because he would pick up his foot as if it was too hot.
I took this picture because Isaac had one of his toys stuck to his back. Normally, the boys put these one the walls and play with them that way, however, occasionally they will stick to the skin. Isaac had this one on his back and he didn't even know it. It was pretty cute.
As you can see, Brady was having a pretty good time in the tub tonight. Hopefully the next time will be as enjoyable as tonight's. It definitely makes it less stressful when he enjoys playing.

Ski trip to Wausau
This weekend, we took the boys to visit their cousins (Zac and Collin) and aunt Carrie and uncle Patton out in Mosinee. Carrie and Collin took care of the boys while Shawn and I went skiing with Patton and Zac. It was a great time, we all would like to thank them for having us over and feeding us. All of the food they served us was wonderful. We had home made Chicken soup for lunch when we got there, sandwiches while we were skiing and then a wonderful HUGE homemade breakfast Sunday morning. I had brought my camera with me so that I could take pictures of the boys with their cousins, and then completely forgot to take any pictures. I just discovered the Carrie was on the ball and was able to at least get a picture of the boys with Collin. Here it is. (Thank you Carrie).

We came back Sunday around noon so that I could attend Jill's bridal shower. Her and Nathan received a lot of wonderful gifts.

Snow day
Today was a really nice day. I didn't have to go to work because of the weather. When I found out I didn't have to work, I crawled back into bed until the boys woke up. Once they did, I didn't get them right away and it was kind of funny that I didn't. Brady was making a strange noise, that was funny sounding. It sounded like he was holding his hand up to his mouth and making noises out of his mouth, like he was making Indian sounds. It was too cute. After that, I got the boys up and gave them some breakfast. Once they were done eating, they went down in the family room and played. They played so well together that I was able to go back upstairs and talk with Shawn. We haven't been able to do that for quite some time. It was really nice. We finished off the night by going over to Shawn's parents' place for dinner.
