Memorial Day Weekend

This weekend we all went up north to Shawn's parents place in Lakewood WI. We didn't get up there until Saturday evening since Shawn worked during the day. We had a wonderful dinner once we got up there. Patton and Zac along with a buddy of Zac's were up as well. Dad had to work so we didn't get to see him a whole lot. Sunday Shawn and I went golfing while Aunt Patti watched the boys. I didn't do too badly since it was my first time all year. I hit my irons pretty good and pitched really well when I was about 30 yards from the greens, and my putting was OK. The worst part of my game was my driving, but I still had fun. Grandma had a big pile of sand delivered to put under their pool to level it out. In the meantime, the boys had a really great time playing in it.

We came back late Sunday night. Monday we rested for part of the day and then Shawn's friends John and Laura came over for a BBQ. We had some great steaks and food.

Bath foam

Isaac just loves playing with his foam bath soap. Here he was putting it on his head. Brady has a little bit on, but he wasn't too crazy about it touching him.

Visit with Aunt Barb

Shawn went up north this weekend to help his Uncle Tom tear down an old shanty. The boys and I stayed in town. We were going to go down to Appleton to visit Aunt Barb, but Uncle Tracy was working nights and needed to get his sleep, so Barb decided to come up to Green Bay to visit. We all had a very nice visit. Here are some pictures.

Mother's Day

Shawn and the boys gave me a wonderful Mother's Day. We all went over to Dave and Linda's house because it was Grandma McCabe's 80th birthday on Friday, so they celebrated today. The boys had a great time. Shawn bought me a gift certificate to the Day Spa, so I will be enjoying a day away sometime in the near future. I can't wait!!

Bye Bye Water

The boys were so cute tonight. I gave them a bath which the both really enjoy now. No more issues with Brady. When it was time to be done we put the toys away and I took them out of the water. I dried them off as usual, and started to let the water drain. The boys leaned over the tub to watch the water and both waived and said bye-bye to the water. It was so cute.

A Night in Mom's shoes

I had my shoes sitting by the front door and the boys found them. I was cleaning up in the kitchen and they came walking in with my shoes on their feet. It was so cute.

Outdoor fun

Isaac and Brady a few weeks ago learned how to climb up the stairs of their slide and go down by themselves. Here is a picture of them posing for the camera before going down the slide.

The boys enjoyed playing with the Frisbees as well. Here are a couple of action pictures.Brady at one point went to go get his Frisbee and actually did a somersault. I think he was putting his hands down and just carried his body over a little too far and did a flip. It was pretty cute.

Trip to McDonald's

The boys and I made a trip to Fleet Farm after the speech therapist left to go get some things. We drove past Curves afterwards and saw that Grandma was still there, so we waited until she was done. Then we went to McDonald's for dinner and the boys had a chance to play in the playland. While we were there, another set of boy twins showed up. They were 2 years older and were playing all over the place. Isaac decided that he was going to climb up into the slide area. He did a good job getting up, but then didn't know how to get down and started to cry. He wouldn't come down the slide either by himself or even with the other kids that were up there, so I had to go climb up through the maze to go get him down. We slid down the slide together and he thought that was the best thing. Luckily for me, he didn't decide to go climb back up into the maze.
